Big Sandy RECC is making preparations for restoration of possible power outages caused by strong winds and severe thunderstorms that are expected in our area. The co-op encourages the public to be aware of the following:

Big Sandy RECC crews will continue to provide restoration service until weather conditions require them to stop for safety reasons.

Customers can expect to experience flickering lights during the storm and sustained outages are possible.

Stay away from fallen power lines. Assume that any line is live. During the storm, call Big Sandy RECC to report an emergency such as downed or sparking power lines.

Extensive and prolonged power outages are possible in hardest hit areas. Information about restoration efforts will be provided as soon as it is available.
