One church known for its charity in the aftermath of some of the devastating weather we've had this year is now dealing with a different kind of problem.
This one is man-made.
The bad storm a couple weeks ago brought back memories at Trinity Freewill Baptist Church of the tornadoes back in March.
Following that devastating weather, Pastor Ellis Maynard says the church worked nonstop helping victims.
Now, someone is taking advantage of people's generosity.
Maynard says he was notified somebody is going around the town of Martin in Floyd County, about 45 minutes away, knocking on doors saying they're collecting money for Trinity Freewill.
They don't go to that church and have no affiliation with it, Maynard said.
The pastor reported this to Kentucky State Police Sunday.
Now they're trying to get the word out hoping nobody else falls for the scam.
“That's probably about the lowest you can go is to scam in a church name or use God's name to scam people," Maynard said.
