ROWAN COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - We're tracking the investigation into human bones found in Rowan County.
The Rowan County Coroner says a ginseng hunter found a human skull around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday. State police secured the scene. We're told two troopers camped out there overnight.
National forestry teams, Rowan County Sheriff's deputies, State Police and a team from the coroner's office are out searching for the rest of the remains. We're told they've found several other bones, in addition to the skull.
Investigators haven't released much information, but say they think the remains have been in the forest for quite some time.
