ROWAN COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A Rowan County woman faces serious charges after sheriff deputies say she was driving high with four young children in her car.
Deputies arrested 24-year-old Mary Lloyd Tuesday night after she was involved in a hit-and-run outside the Morehead Walmart.
According to the arrest citation, Lloyd failed three field sobriety tests and admitted to snorting a xanax earlier that day. The report also says she still had pill residue in one of her nostrils.
Deputes tell us four kids were in her car, ages three, five, six and seven and all of them were unrestrained.
A witness told deputies Lloyd almost struck a guard rail and almost struck another vehicle after the hit-and-run.
Lloyd is charged with four counts of wanton endangerment, DUI and failure to use child restraint.
