Slushy roads in Rowan County

Here in Morehead there is about 3-4 inches of snow on the ground and the roads have been passable. The residents here say they haven't had too many problems getting around.
"It's been heavy of course but the road crews have kept the roads in pretty good shape," says Rowan County resident, Donald Wright.
"The roads are clear. I mean they take really good care of the roads and I know probably out in the country, the back roads are really slick because it's had for them to get to all of them," adds Rowan County resident, Sherry Walker.
As snow continued to fall parking those trying to shovel lots and side roads fought a hard battle.
"We have a parking lot and we shoveled it yesterday but an hour later it was covered again. We've had a pretty bad winter," says Andrew Owens.
While it may be a bit of an inconvenience, some took time to enjoy the scenery.
"I grew up in Morehead and we had lots of snow but it seems like in the past few years we haven't had as much snow. So I really enjoy it. I think the kids do too," says Walker.
And when asked if they are tired of the snow...
"Yeah I'm tired of it I'm ready for it to be Spring. I think everybody is," says Owens.
"It would be good if it went away. I'm ready for Summer," says Ray Ann Gray.
Wright adds, "Yes we've had enough snow. I'm ready for some warm weather so we can start playing golf!"
It doesn't look like they will get their wish of Spring's early arrival. With the cold weather this snow is supposed to stick around for a while.
