Man uses knife to rob store

The search is on for a man police say robbed a central Kentucky store at knife point.

It happened around 6:40 Tuesday morning at the Hardee's BP at the corner of Etter Drive and the US 27 By-Pass in Nicholasville.

Nicholasville Police say a man walked into the store, showed a large kitchen type knife, and demanded money from the clerk at the counter.

Police say the clerk complied with the robber's demands and gave him an undisclosed amount of money.

Police say the man then left the store and was last seen heading east on Etter Drive toward downtown Nicholasville.

No one was hurt in the robbery.

Police say the suspect is a white man, around 6 feet tall, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a blue hoodie, with the hood pulled up over his head, and a bandanna across his face. He was also wearing blue jeans.

Police say they're currently reviewing video surveillance footage from the store.
