Suspected SUV thief arrested after large search

A massive search Tuesday morning as officers from several different law enforcement agencies looked for the suspect in an SUV theft.

The search centered around Jessamine Station Road in Wilmore, after police say the suspect crashed the SUV and took off.

The SUV belonged to Asbury seminary student Andy Rambo.

He says he realized his SUV was missing when his wife came into their home and asked where it was.

Police say the suspect crashed nearby after losing control of the vehicle on a curve.

Despite damage to the vehicle, Rambo says he can see the positive.

"Glad my family didn't come into contact with him (the suspect)," Rambo said. "We do pray for him. Maybe this is an opportunity for him to change."

Wilmore Police tell us they arrested the suspect in this case late Tuesday morning, after a three hour search.
