Extensive flooding of the Kentucky River causes problems for Time Warner Cable customers.
That's because of damage to Time Warner Cable's fiber feeding the cities of Nicholasville, Wilmore and Jessamine County.
Customers in these communities are currently without service.
Flood waters have topped the poles which hold the fiber carrying the video and telecommunication services to these communities.
Time Warner Cable fiber technicians have been assessing the damage, but dangerous conditions are hampering efforts to restore service.
Time Warner Cable General Manager Robert Trott says the technicians are on standby to restore service as soon as it is safe to do so.
