A daycare worker is facing charges, accused of stealing more than $320,000 from her employer.
Nicholasville Police arrested 53-year old Pamela Sandlin. Police say the theft started eight years ago when Sandlin started working at Kids Connection Learning Center.
"The owner noticed some money was missing," said Sgt. Scott Harvey with Nicholasville Police. "She's facing eight counts of felony theft by unlawful taking over $10,000. Basically, one for each of the eight years she worked there. "
Police say it's still very early in the investigation, and that they are still trying to determine exactly how the theft happened.
"We think she had two books. The real one, and the one she showed the owner," said Harvey.
The director at Kids Connection says they handed over evidence to police, but had no further comment on this case.
Police say they haven't recovered any of the money yet, but they are working to do so.
