Man accused of escaping police during chase

The search is on for a man police say escaped them during a chase.

Nicholasville Police say around 3:15 Monday afternoon, officers received information about a possible stolen car parked on Green Street.

When police arrived, they say they spotted a man in the driver's seat of the car.

As they approached, police say the car went into reverse and drove into the backyard of a home.

Police say the man then drove through several backyards, made it back to the street, and drove off.

Police followed the car for a short distance, but lost it on Maple Street.

Police say the suspect in this case is 31-year-old Paul David Brown. He's a white man, 5'7", between 150 and 160 pounds, with facial hair.

Police say Brown was last seen driving a silver 2006 VW Jetta, with Kentucky license plate 011-BJN. Police say the car was reported stolen from Lexington Saturday.

Police say it's possible Brown is armed and dangerous.
