A babysitter in Nicholasville was arrested Monday after police say a baby in her care was injured.
Police are now concerned that there could be more child victims because they believe babysitter, Audrey Rodriguez could have been watching other children.
For at least the past year, police say Rodriguez was watching children in her home here on Woodview Drive.
The ten-month-old baby was taken to UK Medical Center with injuries that required surgery to fix.
"When the hospital staff determined the injury was suspicious in nature, they talked with the parents. The parents said, well we haven't had the child today. The child has been in the care and custody of our babysitter. That's when we it involved in the case," says Officer Kevin Grimes, with Nicholasville Police.
Ten month old baby, Denali is now at home, with a cast and a sling on her arm.
"Based on the investigation, they determined, that it in fact was not an accident and that this was an injury caused by the caretaker," adds Grimes.
Rodriguez bonded out of jail this afternoon but is facing a second degree assault charge.
