NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - Police in Nicholasville are putting out a warning after a string of robberies in the course of a few days.
The latest robbery happened Wednesday night at the Homewood Inn on Imperial Way. A man came to the front desk around 8:00 p.m. demanding cash from the clerk. The woman told police that at first, she thought the man was joking. That's when, according to the victim, the man raised his shirt, showing a gun. She complied with his demands and the robber left.
"Looked like he was like six foot tall, slim built, he was a white male between the age of 21 to 25, he weighed about 135, 145," described front desk clerk Ellen Gill.
On Tuesday night, a man, wearing aviator-style sunglasses and a hoodie, held up the Hardee's on Main Street. The man told the clerk to give him money, but that clerk did not comply. According to Nicholasville Police, the man behind that robbery also matches the description of a man who held up a Subway on near-by Quinn Drive on Sunday night.
Police are reviewing surveillance video of the cases.
