Kentucky State Police say extra troopers will be on the roads this weekend through September 5, as part of the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign. Troopers will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints, directed patrol and speed details.
Specifically, State Police say they'll be targeting drivers in Jessamine County Friday, August 26. That effort will target speeders, in an effort to reduce crashes due to speeding, aggressive, and inattentive driving.
The “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign starts just past midnight, Friday morning and runs through 11:59pm Monday, September 5.
