Police say a prank by some teens early Thursday could have had tragic consequences.
Investigators think at least three cars were hit by eggs while driving along Harrodsburg Road, near Southland Christian Church.
Lexington Police and Jessamine County Sheriff's deputies received calls from drivers who became distracted.
The kids, who are between 15 and 17 years old, were turned over to their parents after a traffic stop on West Brannon Road.
The driver was cited by police.
Police say the teens are fortunate they weren't hit by a car or a driver didn't wreck.
