Some scary moments for a central Kentucky woman and her baby, after police say a man broke into their home.
It happened around 11 Thursday morning at a home on LeAnn Lane in Nicholasville.
Police say the homeowner and her baby were inside when a man forced his way in through a back door.
Police say the woman and infant hid in a locked bathroom, and the woman called 911 for help.
When police arrived, they say they found the suspect going out through the back door of the home. He was quickly arrested.
Neither the woman or the baby were hurt.
"She did everything she should have done in this case, to protect herself and her child given the situation," Nicholasville Police Officer Kevin Grimes said. "She went to the bathroom, a pretty good safe place, locked the door and stayed on the phone with dispatch until officers finally had her come outside. I don't even think the suspect even knew anyone was home until after he was taken into custody."
Police identified the suspect as 26-year-old Erik W. Reynolds, of Nicholasville. He's now charged with burglary, and is being held at the Jessamine County Detention Center.
