Police are looking for a man who gave a Jessamine County homeowner quite a scare Friday morning. She came home from running errands and found she wasn't alone.
Deputies with the Jessamine County Sheriff's Department say the intruder may have thought he had the home to himself. "This person made entry through side door unaware that anyone was inside and then confronted the homeowner" said Deputy Anthony Purcell. They say, when the intruder saw the homeowner come home, he pulled a knife and told her to not look at him.
Deputies say the intruder got away with medication and the woman's purse. Deputies say the woman was not hurt but was shaken up by what she came home to find.
The man was described to authorities as white man about 5'10" to 6'0" tall, likely in his mid 20s, with a muscular build and short blond hair, wearing a white baseball hat.
Deputies say the woman's husband was also home, in the shower at the time, but say he had no idea someone else was in the house with them.
Police say the man drove away alone in a four door white Ford Taurus. Police are currently patrolling the area looking for the vehicle.
