A suspected murderer, who tried running down two jail employees, has learned his sentence in attempted murder case.
A Bourbon County judge sentenced Bass Webb to 50 years in prison.
Webb was found guilty on two charges of attempted murder earlier this year, for the incident involving the jail employees.
Police say hours before that crime in 2009, Webb killed his girlfriend, Bryia Runiewicz, in Harrison County.
Webb is also accused of killing another former girlfriend, Sabrina Vaughn, in Montgomery County in 2003.
Webb sat quietly in court Wednesday morning, as the judge read his sentence in the attempted murder case.
Runiewicz's mother, Dora Clair, was in the courtroom as well.
"I wanted to witness him getting his justice for a change," Clair said. "Because he doled out this type of justice, now it's time for him to get it back."
Webb will stand trial for Runiewicz's murder in December in Harrison County. His trial for Vaughn's murder is scheduled for April.
