Paris Police say charges have now been filed against Gregory Tyra, after an incident earlier this month where a family pet was killed in a hunting trap at Garrard Park.

Fish and Wildlife officers reported finding seven other traps in the park, after the dog was killed. Paris Police said at the time they started watching the area to figure out who set the traps. They say Tyra eventually came by in a pickup with traps in the back of it.

At the time Paris Police arrested Tyra for carrying a concealed deadly weapon. Paris Police say they submitted complaints to
the Bourbon District Court Judge who ordered a warrant of arrest for Tyra on charges of Wanton Endangerment 1st and Criminal Mischief 1st. Both charges are Felonies.
