Police are hunting for a juvenile who escaped from authorities Thursday afternoon at the Bourbon County Courthouse.

The Bourbon County Sheriff says the teen was a runaway from Florida, and was being taken to a judge, to be sent home, when he ran off. The teen was not charged with any crime.

Officers say the juvenile was somehow able to climb up out of the backseat of a transport vehicle, and escaped out the passenger side door.

Police searched near Claiborne Farm, on Winchester Road, for a short time, but called the search off around 1:15pm.
