In neighborhoods near Stoner Creek in Paris, the water marks have not even dried from where the creek flooded earlier this week. Now more rain is expected..
Cit y officials who have been monitoring the creek levels say the creek is at around 14 feet, with the flood stage being 18 feet.. While there are no problems right now, extra rain Friday night could cause the creek to reach around 22 feet. That is a couple feet lower than what we saw earlier in the week when flood waters surrounded homes.
That has left a lot of people cleaning up and bracing for another possible flood.. James Wolfe lives near the creek: "Stoner is still swelled pretty good so I'm sure we'll get it again. We can't stop it."
Bourbon County Emergency Management officials say they will be continuing to monitor the situation.
