Police are looking for three men who attempted a home invasion late Thursday night.
Now the victim is speaking out hoping someone will know who is responsible.
"Jeremy" doesn't want to give his last name since the three men who broke into his apartment last night have not been caught by police.
On Friday night he described to us what he says happened the night before.
"We were making brownies when we heard a knock at the door," he says. "I went to the window to look for a car or something, my girlfriend opened the door just a crack. Three men pushed the door in and one held a gun to head saying, "give me all you got!" I came around the corner saying "I'm calling the law." and the three men ran away."
Police say they had officers in the area when they got the 911 call.
"We were there within 30 seconds," says Lt. Michael Dempsey with the Paris Police. "But you can cover a lot of ground in 30 seconds."
Police dogs were used to try and track the men down but the scent was lost at a fence line around the back of the apartment complex.
While police continue the search for the three suspects, Jeremy and his girlfriend installed a peephole in their front door, offering this advice to others.
"If you don't know who is on the other side of the door, don't answer it ,' he says. "It's not worth it."
The suspects were last seen leaving in a silver or grey Chevrolet HHR, which was parked a few streets away.
