A new audit says Perry County Clerk Haven King has not repaid nearly $30,000 in expenditures that he should not have made with public money.
The Lexington Herald reports prior audits concluded King spent money improperly and recommended that he reimburse the office from his pocket.
King told auditors he thought the spending was proper because it was not primarily personal in nature.
