A man was killed while doing construction at a home in Perry County.

Police tell Mountain News a Harlan man was operating a fork lift when it lost traction and flipped over.

It happened on Valhalla Lane around noon Friday.

When the home owners heard the crash, they ran out to find the man in a ditch.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene by the Perry County coroner.

The victim worked with Bluegrass Materials out of Pikeville.
