A boil water advisory is in effect for several sections of Perry County.
City and water officials say bacterial contamination of the Hazard Water System is possible due to a main water line break.
The affected areas of the system include Hazard Village Shopping Center, Dawhare Drive, Ridgeview, ARH Drive, EDNA Lane, and Rockwood Lane.
The boil water advisory is in effect until the threat of contamination has been eliminated.
