HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Bill Gorman served as Hazard's mayor for more than 30 years and a new exhibit will honor him.
Starting Sunday, the Bobby Davis Museum will showcase the many accomplishments of Mayor Gorman, who died in 2010.
During his life he was part of some of the biggest events in Hazard's history and helped bring in many of the city's largest businesses like the ARH Medical Center.
“He is a part of this town in such a way that many people don't even know. He is so embedded in this community. His ideas and his soul is in this community,” Museum Director Martha Quigley said.
Quigley says you will be able to see the "Bill Gorman Exhibit" until the end of May.
