PERRY Co., Ky. (WYMT) - Family and friends are remembering an Eastern Kentucky woman who died in a car crash.
Deborah Ann Cress of Vicco died in a single vehicle accident Tuesday night in Perry County.
State Police troopers say 29-year-old Ryan Cress was traveling along Kentucky 80 pretty fast when he lost control, hit a rock cliff and the car overturned.
While police investigate this crash, officials said Cress is in stable condition at the Holston Valley Medical Center.
Childhood friends, like Jamie Williams, said they are in shock and never saw this coming.
"You never think that when you talk to somebody it could be the last time that you ever speak to them," said Williams.
He said she was a mother, daughter, wife and good friend.
"You can't help but look at Deborah and smile," said Williams. "She was always smiling."
Right now Williams said everyone is pulling together.
"My main concern is trying to be a friend to Cress and trying to help him through this," Williams said.
He said he will always cherish those childhood memories.
No charges have been filed, but toxicology reports are pending.
