HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Whether customers can continue to pay their power bills at Hazard City Hall was determined Monday night.
For years, the room in the building's lobby has provided a convenient way for Kentucky Power customers to pay their bills.
But it's costing the city $20,000 every year to keep it open.
City officials have been trying to persuade Kentucky Power to reimburse them more per bill, but those negotiations have not appeared to help.
The city commission decided to close the downtown office in 30 days.
