HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - If you are still in the giving mood on Christmas Day, one Perry County organization could use your donations.
The Corner Haven Homeless Shelter will be open during its regular hours of 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Christmas Day.
Shelter officials say they are in need of sheets, blankets, pillows and other items.
"Our biggest needs are consumable products like Lysol, paper towels, soaps, shampoos, toothpaste and toilet paper," shelter employee Jessie Hughes said. "Those are the big items that we have to spend our dollars for."
The shelter is also accepting monetary donations.
"We do get a lot of anonymous donations of clothes, coats, linens, food, and we are very grateful for all of them," Hughes said.
The shelter is at a full capacity of 25 residents and has a waiting list.
