Meeting about superintendent cancelled

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) A meeting to consider whether or not to terminate the contract of the Perry County schools superintendent has been cancelled.

The school board meeting was expected to happen Wednesday morning, but Mountain News received a notice of cancellation Tuesday afternoon.

No reason was given.

John Paul Amis has been the superintendent for many years.
