Murder trial is put on hold again

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - The trial of a Knott County man accused of murdering a Perry County doctor has been put on hold again.

The Hazard Herald reports John Carlos Combs is now scheduled to go on trial May 13th.

Special Judge John David Caudill approved a defense motion for a continuance.

Doctor Dennis Sandlin was shot and killed at the Leatherwood-Blackey Clinic in December, 2009.

Combs remains in jail on a one million dollar bond.
