HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Several people in Hazard learned how to become thrifty shoppers at a couponing class Monday at the Perry County Public Library.
The Couponing 101 class was part of the library's adult summer reading program. Folks learned various coupon tips, as well as how to plan a food budget.
Presenters say the class was all about helping people find the best deals.
"We are doing, just letting them know that they can do couponing and how they can save money, especially now with the economics the way they are," said Reda Fugate, with the UK Cooperative Extension Office.
Later this summer, the library will also be offering courses in cooking and gardening. You can find more information at www.perrycountylibrary.org.
