Two women die in Perry County car crash

Two people are dead after a head-on crash in Perry County Thursday afternoon on Kentucky 15 near Glomawr.

Traffic was at a standstill for nearly two hours as several law enforcement agencies worked to clean up the scene of the deadly accident

Police say 77-year-old Reba Amburgery of Red Fox in Knott County was driving her Toyota Camry when she collided head-on into 20-year-old April Robinson's Chevrolet Aveo.

25-year-old Donnie James Hudson, who was a passenger in Robinson's vehicle, was airlifted to Holston Valley Medical Center in Tennessee.

According to April Robinson's Facebook page she was in a relationship with Hudson.

It also says she was an employee at McDonalds in downtown Hazard, and a student at Hazard Community Technical College.

Hudson’s condition is not known.

State police are still investigating what led to the crash.
