HAZARD, Ky (WYMT) - Many University of Kentucky basketball fans in Eastern Kentucky flocked to restaurants and bars to watch the Wildcats play Michigan State on national television.
Dozens of folks packed in Applebee's in Hazard for the game.
The rush of fans is good for business and the community, employees said.
"Tuesday nights are usually pretty slow until about nine o'clock," employee Karyn Haley said. "But I love having an early rush and also it's a big rush being behind the bar. You get the hometown feel, people are talking back and forth and cheering it on. I love being right here in the middle of it all, really."
Kentucky will host Robert Morris University on Sunday.
