HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Multiple agencies responded to a house fire Wednesday morning in the Airport Gardens section of Perry County.
Firefighters received the call shortly after 9:00 a.m. that a two-story home on Summer St. was in flames.
Officials say no one was home when the fire started, and no injuries were reported.
"When we arrived, there were flames and fire coming out of the top floor and the bedroom area," said Hazard Fire Chief Sam Stacy. "At this point, there's a lot of damage to the upstairs and some water damage and smoke damage to the rest of the structure."
Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the fire, but say they do not believe it was arson.
