Woman accused of stabbing her ex-husband will appear in court next week

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - One Perry County woman accused of stabbing her ex-husband is expected to appear in court next week.

State police arrested 30-year-old Samantha Coots of Vicco earlier this month.

She allegedly stabbed her ex-husband and current fiancé, Fred Coots, in the abdomen.

Coots is set to appear next Tuesday for a preliminary hearing.

She is charged with first-degree assault and is being held on a $10,000 cash bond at the Kentucky River Regional Jail.
