Changing of the guard at WYMT

We know the news is not about us, but we do want to let you know about a couple of changes here at WYMT.

As many of you already know, our longtime General Manager, Ernestine Cornett, retired earlier this month.

Our new general manager is no stranger to WYMT.

News Director Neil Middleton has taken over that role.

Wayne Martin, the regional vice president for Gray Television, says “Neil's passion and commitment to serving WYMT viewers and advertisers makes him the perfect choice to be the next leader of WYMT.”

Steve Hensley will assume Neil’s responsibility in the newsroom.
He has been named assistant news director.

“Steve eats, sleeps, and breathes news. He has been a part of the WYMT newsroom since the Summer of 1993, when he was a high school intern. His love and dedication for this region made him the perfect choice for this position,” Middleton said.

Hensley will continue anchoring the 4pm and 6pm news broadcasts. He will be leaving the 11pm news later this year.
