PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Construction on the Jenny Wiley Theatre in Pikeville is expected to begin soon.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held at the facility in Pike County.
Pikeville City Manager Donovan Blackburn says the new building is expected to cost nearly three and a half million dollars and should be completed next year.
Productions will continue at the outdoor amphitheater in Prestonsburg.
Jenny Wiley is the only professional theater company in the state east of Interstate 75.
