MOUTHCARD, Ky (WYMT/WKYT) - UPDATE 6/24/13

Donald Castor was weed eating along US 460 in Pike County, when police say a car ran off the road, hit and killed him. Now one man faces DUI and manslaughter charges.

The memories of 35-year-old, Donald Castor, weigh heavy on the hearts of his friends and co-workers.
Dyllon Reynolds says, "It is just something that shocks you, shows you how life can change in a minute, it is just the wrong place at the wrong time."

Friends say Castor was just trying to make an honest buck. Reynolds says, "He has weed-eated this property five or six years, as long as we've lived here, he's weed eated that hill multiple times....it is awful this happened under these circumstances, he was just trying to make a dollar..he would work."

On Saturday, that hill he worked on time and time again became a crime scene.

Hurley Mullins, witnessed the accident and says, "I could tell he was going too fast, and I heard him hit the gravel here, I knew he was off the road...and it was over in seconds...it was just quick."

Police arrested 48-year-old William Damron and charged him with DUI and second degree manslaughter.

Those who saw and heard the accident say Damron lost control of his vehicle around a curve and went up onto the bank where Castor was working.

Co-workers at Blue Ridge Cable Company say they can not believe something like this could happen. Mullins says, "I mean who would have thought a car would come up on the bank...he was just cutting some weeds."

On Monday, Damron made his initial appearance in court and pleaded not guilty to all charges.
