PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - A new addition to downtown Pikeville was unveiled Thursday night.
The Pikeville/Pike County Artisan Alliance debuted the newest bear of the Bear O'Fair collection.
It is called Ursa Miner and was designed to look like a coal miner.
It was created by the same artist who made the Astro Bear which is inside the Expo Center.
Ursa Miner will sit in front of the new City Hall building.
"It reflects the culture of who we are as an area and region, and we are very happy and proud to present this bear that was made by a Kentucky artist," said Frank Dawahare, President of the Artisan Alliance.
Ursa Miner is the 11th bear in Pikeville.
They plan to add four more.
