COAL RUN VILLAGE, Ky. (WYMT) - A new business is coming to Pike County bringing with it nearly two dozen jobs.
Ace Hardware is opening up in Coal Run Village in the Weddington Plaza next to J.C. Penney.
City officials say the store will be able to hire more than 20 people and will benefit the city economically by bringing in more occupational fees like business license fees.
"Given the economy today, and the loss of coal severance receipts and coal production, and the loss of jobs in our area this is going to benefit our town," said Coal Run Village Mayor LaVerne Dye.
Renovations are underway on the building.
The store should be open by July.
