Every Halloween season, one Pike County family uses their very own haunted house to deliver fear-based fun to thousands of thrill-seekers.
For the past few years, the Ramsey family has invited folks to their Elk Creek home to take a tour of their horrifying haunted house.
When it comes to the Ramsey family's haunted house, they say the more screams--the better.
For years, the family worked to create all facets of the terrifying haunted house for a good cause.
“The kids in our neighborhood didn't have anything to look forward to or anything to do so we just wanted something for our kids to do,” said Patty Ramsey, host of the haunted house attraction.
Nearly 40 local volunteers dress up in costumes that portray some seriously creepy characters.
The Ramsey family says every single year they've had more visitors and this year they're expecting around 2500.
To get through the building you must pass through a series of terror-inducing scenes, including a clown room, a blood-stained butcher room and many more terrifying twists and turns.
If you're brave enough to visit the Ramsey's haunted house, you're guaranteed to get the scare of your life.
The haunted house tours will be held at the Ramsey’s home in Elk Creek on Friday and Saturday at 7 p-m for the next two weeks.
The haunted house will be open every night during the week of Halloween.
