Pike Co. officials need pictures of fallen peace officers

PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Officials in Pike County need your help finding pictures of fallen peace officers.

A memorial will be inside the Pike County Courthouse where each fallen officer's picture will be accompanied by a description of the officer's service and death.

Officials say they believe they have a complete list of officers but are asking for help finding all the pictures.

"We need to memorialize them, and we've worked, we have a committee together. We've met for months and years and planned this, and it's going to come to fruition," said Pike County Judge Executive Wayne T. Rutherford.

A complete list of the fallen officers and what pictures are needed is below:

-Walker Deal, deputy sheriff (need picture)

-Frank Phillips, deputy sheriff (need picture)

-Thomas Tackett, deputy sheriff (need picture)

-Boyd Westin Hatfield, deputy sheriff (need picture)

-John F. Cable, deputy sheriff (need picture)

-Roy Conway, sheriff

-Earl Smith, deputy sheriff (need picture)

-Poyster Keene, deputy sheriff (need picture)

-James I. Thacker, deputy sheriff (need picture)

-Charles Smith, deputy sheriff (need picture)

-Bud Daniels, deputy sheriff (need picture)

-Alonso (Lon) Robinson, Pikeville City Police

-Elmer Mobley, KSP

-Cecil Uzzle, KSP

-Bobby McCoun, KSP

-Jerome Clifton, KSP

-Jonathan Leonard, KSP
