COAL RUN VILLAGE, Ky. (WYMT) - Police in Pike County are now searching for another man accused of an armed robbery.
People in Pike County are on their toes wondering who will be the next target.
"It's just like it's happening everywhere around us now, and it scares us here every day," said Debrah Wiley, who works across the street from the scene of the most recent robbery.
Monday night that target was the Shell gas station in Coal Run Village.
A man with a gun dressed in a black hoodie, camo mask, white tennis shoes, blue jeans and gloves went inside and demanded cash from the clerk.
Police say they do not know which direction the robber went when he left the gas station, but they say even though it is a very populated area the gas station sits on the intersection with US 23 and Cowpen Road which they say leads to many ways out of there.
This is the fourth armed robbery in the area in one week.
The detectives for each case are working together but say they have no reason to think any of the robberies are connected, though they are not ruling that out.
"At this time with the information he has and he's working on it's too soon to be able to say whether or not they're tied together. It is different from the other robberies that we have been investigating due to the areas they have occurred," said KSP Trooper Shaun Little.
Connected or not people in Pike County say they will not rest easy for a while.
"You're afraid every time you go out the door, every time you come in the door, when the door chimes, you're just afraid. You know if you see a black hoodie you're very nervous," said Wiley.
Police ask everyone to report any suspicious activity.
Anyone with information about this robbery should contact Kentucky State Police.
