PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - A Pike County man is indicted on charges of attempted murder, rape, sodomy, and being a persistent felony offender.
The Pike County grand jury heard testimony from Kentucky State Police Troopers regarding Jonathan Thornsbury's arrest on sexual assault charges.
Police say the assault is so severe that the victim was admitted to the Pikeville Medical Center Intensive Care Unit.
The Grand Jury says Thornsbury committed the offense of attempted murder when he unlawfully beat the female victim and threatened to kill her.
