PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - She is only six-years-old but she is a five-year cancer survivor making a difference for childhood cancer research. Lexie Cain, raised money by selling lemonade and baked goods outside the Pikeville Wal-Mart on Friday.

Cain was diagnosed with cancer when she was just nine months old.

Her father, Christopher Cain, donated part of his liver two days before her first birthday, she then went through treatment and is now a cancer survivor.

Christopher Cain says, "My wife found this organization, Alex's Lemonade Stand. Alex was a young girl with cancer and during that fight she decided to raise money for other kids with a lemonade stand."

This is Lexie's second year doing a lemonade stand. Last year she raised more than $1,500 for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation to help find a cure for childhood cancer.
