Another flashing incident reported on EKU campus

For the second time this week, police on the Eastern Kentucky University campus in Richmond are investigating a flashing incident.

EKU Police say around 11:15 Tuesday night, a man exposed his genitals to a woman near Burnam Hall.

Police say the description of this suspect is similar to the description of the suspect in the first reported flashing incident, which happened Sunday night near Walters Hall.

In that case, police say two female students reported a man exposed himself to them. That happened after police say four female students told them a man followed them through the Burnam Hall parking lot.

Police say the suspect is a white man, around 6 feet tall, and weighing around 175 pounds. He has medium length black hair and is clean shaven. He was last seen wearing camouflage fatigues and a beret.

Administrators have increased the number of officers walking and driving around campus at night. They're also asking students to use their free shuttle service or a campus police escort to get anywhere at night.

"We intend to make this campus a safe environment for them but we simply do not put up with this kind of behavior," says EKU spokesperson Marc Whitt.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to call the EKU Police Department at 859-622-1111.
