The last several days April Wells says she's been wondering how she and her 9-year-old daughter will get past this.
"I don't know how much more I can take," Wells says.
The home they lived in on Parrish Avenue in Richmond was destroyed in a fire just after 11:00 p.m. Friday.
She says they don't have insurance and everything went up in flames.
Wells says the considerate actions of others is what is getting her through..
"I'd like to thank station one of the Richmond fire department because they took my daughter yesterday to Wal-Mart and go her a new winter coat and a few clothes. I don't know how to thank them," Wells says.
Investigators say the fire is suspicious.
Wells and her daughter weren't home at the time of the fire.
