Woman awakened by intruder in her bed

Some scary moments for a woman after police say she woke up to find a strange man in bed next to her.

Richmond Police say they were called to an apartment on McDaniel Avenue just before 2:30 Monday morning.

Police say a woman in the apartment told them she was sleeping in her bedroom, when she was awakened by a strange man, who was in bed with her and rubbing her body.

Police say the woman then got out of bed and alerted her roommate.

Police say the roommates then looked into the bedroom where the intruder was still laying in bed. The roommates said one of their cell phones was in his back pocket.

Police say when the roommates tried to call for help, the intruder started to leave the apartment.

When one of the roommates tried to stop him, police say the intruder threw her down and left.

Richmond Police say they later found the suspect next door and arrested him. At that time, police say they found a second cell phone on him that belonged to one of the roommates.

Police have identified the suspect as 20-year-old Jonathon D. Goins as Lucasville, Ohio. He's been charged with burglary, sexual abuse, assault, receiving stolen property, and representing another's license as one's own.
