RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) - An investigation is underway into a car fire that left one person injured Wednesday night.
Many people called into the WKYT newsroom telling us about the fire on the Eastern Bypass, near Interstate 75, in Richmond.
Richmond firefighters say one person had to be taken to the hospital with minor burns.
Investigators have not released that person's name.
At one point, firefighters also feared some chemicals were in the car, so they decontaminated someone as a precaution.
Firefighters were eventually able to get the fire out.
As of 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters were still trying to figure out what caused the fire.
