RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) - Thousands of students at Eastern Kentucky University will soon be paying more money to go to school there.
On Tuesday, the EKU Board of Regents approved a 2.95 percent increase in undergraduate tuition for Kentucky residents, starting in the fall semester.
That means those students will pay $3,768 per semester.
The board also approved a five percent increase in residence hall rates, and a $500 per year tuition increase for first through twelfth graders at Model Laboratory School.
Board members also say EKU faculty and staff will not receive an across-the-board raise next school year.
